The short version: MediaLab and DirectRT run on a 64-bit PC with Windows 10 or 11. The details below cover disk, activation, and a few notes for locked-down or offline labs.
Applies to both MediaLab and DirectRT.
The rebuilt DirectRT is self-contained — in most cases there’s nothing extra to install.
.exe installer adds it automatically if it’s missing (needs internet during install). Not needed for text-, image-, or video-only studies.license.lic into C:\ProgramData\Empirisoft\DirectRT. A standard user can put it there without admin rights..exe only needs internet at install time if WebView2 is missing. For fully offline machines, your IT team can use the .msi and preinstall the WebView2 runtime — or we can provide an installer with the runtime bundled in, so it installs with no network at all. Email us and we’ll sort it out.
MediaLab shares the same Windows 10/11 (64-bit) baseline above; see its readme for any program-specific notes.
