I know that it's not possible to create conditional skipping based on previous responses in MediaLab, but is it possible in DirectRT?

In so far as jumping and skipping can do what you need, yes.
I guess I could have been a bit more specific. For example, if I had run a trial at position 5 and I wanted position 10 to either be skipped based on the response at position 5, could I do that? In essence, I've got a question that would be unnecessary, if a participant responded to 5 in a particular way.
Ah, like complex skipping in MediaLab via Excel's conditional logic. Nope, not yet but that is a goal for the next version.
Hmm...I didn't realize one could do that with MediaLab using the Excel logic. I looked at that section of the manual, but it didn't look like that would be possible. I'd just as soon do it in MediaLab, anyway. Would you be able to explain how one would accomplish that using the Excel logic, or should I just RTFM again?
Start by taking another look at the section and also at the sample provided and let me know if you have any trouble with it.
I think I've got it. Thanks. I'll let you know if I have any problems with it.
