We've just released v2010 firmware for the DirectIN boxes and keyboards. It appears that this firmware is compatible with all modern operating systems (specifically XP, Windows 7, Mac OX 10.6, etc).
This firmware includes a 'field update' utility, which allows us to email new firmware for the keyboards and boxes, if ever required. The update takes place over the existing USB interface, no screwdrivers required.
Contact us for details.

Hi,
We have the same problem with our laptop computers. We can't get the keyboards to work with our computers which are running WIN7 64b. We are using the DirectIn Boxes. How can we get this new firmware?
it will be great if you could send me this new firmware by mail with a link or something similar.
Please don't hesitate to contact me at any time.
Thanks for all your help,
Nico Rois
On the underside of your keyboard / button box is an adhesive label. If that label doesn't explicitly mention '...and contains firmware for easy updating' we'll need to perform a quick firmware update here in the shop.
Just send an email to 'service AT empirisoft.com' and we'll get you the shipping address, etc. Generally these firmware updates can be turned around in one business day or less.

It already happened to me and all I did was pulled out all the usb cables that was previously installed and restarted my device which is also windows 7 64 bit. Surprisingly it worked for me. Try it out and see if it works for you not. Also do not forget to check your driver, are they updated to detect the rt keyboards?.
So what is the solution? I have the same issues in one of my offices/
