We recently aquired a Tobii eye tracker and I would like to know if anyone has any experience using one with DirectRT.
Most important right now would be the ability to have DirectRT place event markers in the Tobii file.

Here's one example to get you started:

If you search this forum for 'eye tracker' and 'biopac' you'll find some other recent discussions.

I was looking for Tobii specific
As far as I know, Tobii does not accept a standard TTL pulse.
Thanks.
I skimmed through their instruction manual. It appears that this is a very closed system. It's not possible to add external triggers, etc. The communication appears to be over the USB interface.
Unfortunately, I don't suspect that there's any way for MediaLab and DirectRT to precisely synchronize with this system. Though I suspect that DirectRT / MediaLab experiments can still be run with this tracking software in the background.

Hi,
Tobii is definitely NOT using USB for communication. Our Eye Trackers have a built in Eye Tracker Server which calculates the gaze already within the eye tracker before sending the information to the computer where you run the analysis software.
In some of our Eye Trackers like the T60, you have a built in user camera recording the users face for deeper analysis as well. This has nothing to do with the gaze data and the video is send to the software via USB.
Tobii Eye Trackers communicate via a Network Cable and with our Software Development Kit you should be able to integrate DirectRT thus you can connect directly to the eye tracking server in the eye tracker or to the software.
We also do offer integration with a broad span of psychology software already.

Thanks for the update, Rob. Can you leave a phone number or email in this thread so that folks can contact your group more easily?
Hi!
Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions.
I won't probably be able to answer all of them, but I know who does.
You can find more information as well on www.tobii.com
Best regards,
Rob
