    Anti-virus program caused shutdown

Has anyone had this problem? About half way through running a subject, the computer's anti-virus program came on and minimzed DirectRT. After indicating that she'd deal with the update later, the research assistant was able to maximize DirectRT and the task resumed. However, it then minimized again, and stopped responding. All of the data were lost, and although a log file was created, it was blank.

We'd appreciate info on how to troubleshoot this.

Never heard of this myself. Quite possible though, especially if the other program has any kind of attention-seeking pop-up windows. In such cases, it's usually best to shut down those (if not all) programs during critical session runs.
