    Recording joystick responses (case 26254)

    Hi everyone,

I'm using a joystick in a new experiment I'm designing. We have a stimuli (audio, video) playing and the subject uses the joystick y-axis to indicate some subjective experience (High Y-value - more, low Y-value - less) we are interested in and doing this is fairly easy (rt:joy5000). I'd also managed to give the subject an option to terminate the trial when the experience reaches a peak, by using the joystick (rt:241). But, trying to incorporate both on the same trial appears to be more challenging.
What I've tried is the following, writing in the matching time cell "rt: joy5000, 241" or "rt:joy-5000,241".
Is there another way to formulate this?

    BTW - it's directRT 2012.

    Thanks,
    Eitan

    Hello Eitan,

I would like to see a copy of the actual .csv input file you use for these joystick commands. Please either upload a copy to this thread or send it to support@empirisoft.com and reference case 26254).
