Thread: Run-time error '9'

    Run-time error '9' (case 23223)

    Hello,

When running my study, I've found that attempting to use the spacebar rather than using the mouse to click "continue" causes an error message to pop up: "Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range" and MediaLab crashes. The study only uses images, no video or HTML. Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Thanks for your help!

Please tell me the full version number (i.e., 20xx.x.xxx) of your copy of MediaLab. You can find it by opening MediaLab and selecting Help>About MediaLab from the main menu bar.

Please also send me a copy of the MediaLab .que or .exp file and other files needed to run it in MediaLab that is causing this error message to appear. You can either upload it here or send it to me directly at support@empirisoft.com (please reference case 23223).

Please also send me a copy of your computer's dxdiag report. This is straightforward to make. Click on the Start button, type dxidag into the Search box, run the dxdiag.exe application, and save a copy of the dxdiag.txt report to send to me.

    Hi Jason,

Thank you for your reply. I've emailed you with the files you requested.

    Thanks!

    Problem solved!

Jason suggested that instead of placing a .bmp file directly in the .exp file, I put the .bmp file in the BackImage field of an Instruction item in its own .que file. Then place that .que file with the single Instruction item in the .exp file.

This solved my problem. Thank you.
