    Incorrect Feedback (case 20247)

I am programming a Lexical Decision Task and would like to provide feedback to participants when they press the incorrect key. It is also important that the feedback occur automatically and not require participants to push an additional button to continue with the task. For example if the correct answer was 'z' and '/' is pushed an X would automatically appear and the task will automatically continue. Similar to when participants take longer than the max RT to respond and the message 'please try to respond faster appears'. Is this possible using DirectRT ?

    Please let me know,

    Thanks

    Jessica

    Hi Jessica!

Try looking at the example that came with DirectRT for using the "Requiring a Correct Response" feature of DirectRT. You can find instructions and the pathway to the example file in the DirectRT program file folder on you C: drive here in the DirectRT manual: http://www.empirisoft.com/directrt/h..._responses.htm.

Play around with the sample and let us know if you have any other questions.
