Timo,
Can you open the files in the Samples folder that came with DirectRT on the computer giving you problems? The samples folder is most likely located on your computer at C:\DirectRT.

Yes, i can open the samples. They work.
i just found out, that the computer where the files work, is using windows 8. The other computer is using windows 7.
the file was originally made in canada on windows 7. The file worked there on many computers, but here in germany it doesnt work on several computers in our department. Only on one with windows 8.1. The computers where it does not work are quite new, not yet used the program directRT.
Timo,
The issue may be due to the file being created on an English version of Windows but you using a German version of Windows; DirectRT 2014.1.104 should work equally well with Windows 7 and Windows 8, so I don't think that is the problem.
Click on the Start button and select Control Panel > Region and Language. Then check to see if your computers-both the ones that run the DirectRT file and those that don't-are set to English as the language. If the computers that don't work with the DirectRT files you received from Canada are set to some language that is not English, try changing the setting to English and then running the DirectRT file.

Hi Jason.
Thanks for your answer,
I tried to change the language into English, but that didn't help. Also, the computer using Windows 8.1 on which the program ran without problems (as I mentioned previously) is set to German. So I don't think that's the problem. Did you look or try the file itself? Does it work on your computer?
One odd aspect when we try to run the program on the Windows 7 computers (where they don't work) is also that DirectRT seems to be trying to use the files. The programs seems to be in action (as indicated in the task manager) and the status bar below indicates it is reading the file, but it never even goes to full-screen mode, and the experiment never starts.
Hello Jason,
we find a solution for our Problem. In the same folder were some backup files, which did interrupt the other files. Without them it works.
Thanks for the help anyway
Timo
