Hi,
I'd like to record participants with a webcam as part of my MediaLab experiment. Is there a way to start and stop recording in MediaLab?
Thank you.

Take a look at this related forum thread: http://www.empirisoft.com/support/sh...ghlight=webcam

Thanks for the reply. I've been working from that thread and I managed to get it to work nearly perfectly, using a webcam, VLC, and this batch script:
My only question: Is there a way to save the video file using the participants' ID number?Code:"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --qt-start-minimized dshow:// --sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=1024,fps=30,width=1280,acodec=mp2a,ab=128,scale=1,channels=2,deinterlace,audio-sync}:standard{access=file,mux=ps,dst="C:\Users\user\Desktop\Output.mpg"} --extraintf=logger -vvv
Thanks.
Take a look at this section of the MediaLab manual that talks about the currentsujbect.txt file: http://www.empirisoft.com/medialab/h...currentsubject.
