Error 53 and Error 5 in TrackPerformance.txt file (case 15784)

If you open the TrackPerformance.txt file and find both Error 53 and Error 5 notices, it may be due image files in your Stim folder that are 24-bit depth. You can check this if you right-click your image files, click on Properties, and click on the Details tab.

DirectRT tends to work with images of an 8-bit depth. It's not too difficult to do this conversion. Here are the steps, which you can also find in here in the online DirectRT manual (http://www.empirisoft.com/directrt/h...ge_files.htm):
    1) Donwload the free program IrfanView at http://www.irfanview.com/.
    2) Open Irfanview and open the image that you want to change.
    3) From the Image Menu, select Decrease Color Depth.
    4) Select 256 colours and save your image.

That should do it! Try it out and see if they show up in your DirectRT input file.

I'm having exactly this issue, but need a MAC alternative to Ifranview

Any suggestions on a Mac compatible image resizer? I keep buying image tools in the app store, but none will get the images smaller than 24. Any suggestions? I have participants starting tomorrow.

No similar programs for Macs immediately spring to mind. According to the Irfanview website, you should be able to use it with a Mac:

"There is no native-Mac version of IrfanView. However, you can use IrfanView in conjunction with Mac program like WineBottler/DARWINE. Take the ZIP version of IrfanView and unzip it or copy your existing Windows IrfanView folder to Mac. This is easier because the installer may need additional Windows DLLs to run."
