Missie,
Does this work in DirectRT without trying to use MediaLab? And what versions of DirectRT and MediaLab are you working with?

Hi Jason,
No, it doesn't work straight from DirectRT eitherMy computer at work has two screens. Whenever I try to run it, the left screen stays normal, and the right screen turns black (as if it will run the video soon). But the video never comes. I also can't figure out how to get out of the black screen (control-alt-delete sometimes works after a while, but takes a long time). So I keep shutting the computer off and turning back on. Probably not the best technique

Did you get a chance to look at the files I sent? One thing I wanted to ask about is that the manual says we need to put in () the size of the screen. Your example didn't do that, so I didn't either. Is that something I should do?
Thank you for your help! I'm pretty stuck. And I don't want to deprive my Ps of the opportunity to participate in this super fun American Idol study, lol
Missy,
Can you please tell me what versions of DirectRT and MediaLab you use? Also, will the computers that you use to run participants use one or two monitors?

Thanks Jason! I was messing with it today and found that it would work with .wmv, so it must have been the .avi files that were causing the trouble. I didn't expect that since they ran fine on WMP. But, I converted all my videos to .wmv and it works! Thanks for your help; I guess I'll just work with wmv's from now on![]()
Missy,
I'm glad that you got it working! Did changing the video files from .avi to .wmv get it to work everywhere, including your two monitor set up? I'd like to know so that we can look into this kind of detail for our own records.
