Use Arabic/Hebrew text on questionnaires (case 6001)

    Hi,

I have created a survey in English and am planning on sending it to Israel and Palestine for translation into Arabic and Hebrew and implementing the survey there. I have seen threads about "In the Experiment Editor, did you try choosing "Options > Editor Font > Script > Arabic"? Then, the main MediaLab window, choosing "Preferences > Character Set > Arabic"?" and also read the manual on foreign fonts and using the right align option. However when testing some text in Hebrew it seems that the text does not appear right to left when typed. I am also concerned about how one or more lines of text might wrap in Hebrew and Arabic. I am using v2012, please let me know of any suggestions or information you may have about using Hebrew/Arabic text within MediaLab.

    Thanks!

One way to get instructions and response scales would be to create the text in another program (e.g., Powerpoint), and then save each screen as an image file. You can then display these images as the background for scale response items. The advantage of this route is that it would give you much better control over the formatting and appearance of the text.

Hope this helps. Let me know if any of the above is not clear.
