How do I recreate the input file from a resulting data file?

Greetings! A colleague in my lab recently had a hard drive crash on her lab computer, and lost her DirectRT input file, but not her data files. I know one can recreate the input file from the information in the data file, but is there a more automated way to to do this? She's working on her thesis, and is very concerned about being able to finish it. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If the only copy was on the hard drive that crashed, there isn't much you can do to get an origional copy. I would look at the log version of the data file to reconstruct it. The difficulty will vary according to the complexity of the input file (e.g., due to the application of multiple randomization functions). If have any specific questions about how to work backwards, please let me know and I'll try to help in any way I can.
