    making horizontal text labels smaller

My scale has 10 points. Each of the ten points is labeled (e.g., 1=definitely false, 10=definitely true). I have gotten the 10 options to appear horizontally, but the wording runs off the screen because the font is too big.

How would I make only the font of my text labels smaller, but still keep the question wording in the default font? Thank you.

You can apply a "quickstyle" (see guide) to apply a smaller font to just that item--but the downside is that it will also affect the question wording. If like, you could also create the question wording and/or the scale captions in HTML and then present the HTML as a background image.
