    Powerpoint Show and Background sound

I want to play a background sound (audio instructions) during a PowerPoint Show and I need for them to start simultaneously. I tried putting the PowerPoint Show as an item in the experiment editor and entering the audio as a Background Sound but the audio does not play. The audio works when I try it with other items, but not the Powerpoint slides. Is there a way to do this?

Not sure why a PowerPoint file would not accept your backsound file. As a workaround, try placing the sound file in the backsound field of the previous item. If you can place the power point file in a .que file you could precede it with a blank instruction item (with your backsound) and assign that blank instruction item a parameter value of (d0) or (d1) which will have it continue automatically to the powerpoint show.
