Going to the next screen using Custom Items

I can get MediaLab to view the first custom item I created. But when I hit continue, the same questionnaire comes up again. How do I get MediaLab to move to the next custom item?

Is it a problem with the HTML code I wrote? The way I set the questionnaire up in MediaLab?

Additionally, the data that is submit to my data folder is gibberish....why is that?

    Thank you!

    Hi Kristen,

Can you zip and post or send me a copy of the que and custom htm files?

Yes, .htm files need to be individually zipped or contained in a zip file. Try this revision of the social support questions and see if it helps. If you are using v2006.2 or later, use a (v8) parameter to indicate you have 8 variables in the custom item.

    What I changed:
    • Made it do that there was only 1 form command for the whole set of questions
    • Changed the name of each option within any given question to an identical variable name, such as ss_01. Radio button questions require that if you want to force a single option. I then changed the values of the options to "1", "2", "3", and "4".
    • In the que file used a (v8) parameter to indicate there are 8 variables
    • Used the variable name ss so that MediaLab would have placeholders for the 8 variables (i.e., ss_01, ss_02, ... ss_08).
