Error: input file may be in read-only format

    Hello, here's my situation:

I just started playing around with the sample experiments in DirectRT and it went fine, at first. Then, I tried manipulating the input file for the sample experiment and it stopped working. I keep getting an error message that states the file may be in read-only format, but I checked, and it's not. This error message also comes up for the other sample input files in the manual, which I have not manipulated at all.

Another piece of information that may or may not be useful is that we use Macs in our lab. All our Macs have Bootcamp, which runs Windows XP Professional, and that's how we are using the software.

If anyone else has run into this problem, help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

This problem might be related to Windows regional settings that cause a restructuring of the input file format when saved. More info is available here:
