    fill-in-the-blank, message box (case 5459)

    hello~everyone,

    I have a problem about fill-in-the blank's message box.

I want to design experiment. Let participant to read a number serial(ex.12345), then ask participant to recall and enter the number serial in the next page.

I used several fill-in-the-blank (m*****,r12345) in the recall page.
The problem is : When I enter the wrong answer, it will show message box that include the correct answer.

How can I delete the correct answer in the message box?

try essay question instead of fill in the blank

Try changing the item type to an essay question. That should prevent the box from showing up.

You could also try using a password on a basic instruction item. e.g., by adding the "x" parameter such as (x12345). You could alter the wording by editing message #116 in the message.txt file (C:\MediaLab\Styles\messages.txt).
