    AVI File Won't Play in ML - Vista System

    I have Windows Vista. My avi video files work fine in WMP, however, no image or sound shows up when I've embedded them in an experiment as a background video. Please advise.
    Thanks,
    John

    This was one of two issues we had had right off with MediaLab on Vista. Try downloading and reinstalling the most current release of MediaLab (v2008.1.33, release April 6, 2009). We attempted to address this known issue and had success in many cases but not all. It can be found on our main download page here:

    Out of curiosity, are you already running this release, and if so, do you know approximately when you downloaded/installed it?

    <Update April 1st, 2010>

    The currently posted release of v2008 (package ml2008.1.33c.exe) should pose no problems on Vista or Windows 7, at least in terms of issues that were occurring upon the initial releases of these OS's.
