Medialab not piping data produced by excel formulae into Instructions (case 28851)

    Hi

I followed the same approach as in the self esteem example, creating a variable in responses.xls that is the average of the scores on a problem set in the experiment. I created an Instructions item to provide feedback, i.e. 'You scored <Task2_Crit_Score>' but when that Instructions item comes up in the experiment, Medialab just prints out the text rather than piping in the average score. If I substitute some other datum from responses.xls that is not produced by an excel formula (i.e. is a response from the experiment) Medialab pipes it successfully into the feedback Instructions item. So the problem seems to be the excel formula. This is odd, because Medialab correctly reads an excel formula providing skipto logic. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks
    Chris

There are a few different possibilities I can think of here, so the best thing would be for me to take a look at the responses.xls file and its corresponding .que file. Please either upload them here as an attachment or send them to support@empirisoft.com and reference case 28851.
