run time error 9 when press keys by accident

In the beginning of the experiment, participants read welcome screen and they are asked to click continue to move on to the next screen. There is a slight chance that some participants may press keyboard by mistake. If they do, a message appears saying "run time error 9, subscript out of range" and the MediaLab collapses.

Is there any way that MediaLab doesn’t respond to pressing keys even though participants are supposed to click continue?

Or is there a better way to deal with?

    Thank you.

Check these threads out and see if they help. If not, send or attach a copy of your questionnaire and I'll see if I can replicate the problem here.

RE: run time error 9 when press keys by accident

    Hi Jarvis,

Thank you for your reply. I've checked both of the thread but I couldn't figure out.

My experiment starts with a jpg file followed by a series of questionnaires. I've just tried Sample 3 "race" and pressed a key when the instruction (instruct. jpg) was shown. The same message "run time error 9 when press keys by accident" appeared and had to terminate MediaLab.

Is this anything to do with my computer?

By the way, I'm using V2006.

    Thank you

Can you send us or post your questionnaire as an attachment? I'll check it out and see if I can tell what's wrong.
