Most of the regular trials run properly, it's only each trial that comes after an instruction trial that doesn't use the proper style. I've attached the style file so you can have a look.

Strange, What verion of DirectRT are you using (i.e., 200x.x.x)? For a short term fix, you could try inserting a dummy trial after the instructions. One with a blank text stimulu (~) that is presented for 100ms or so but uses the new style. That way, perhaps it will be ready to go when your actual trial subsequently begins. Just a thought..

Thanks for the update. When I run it here on v2008, it seems to run fine--white background with black letters continuously. Note sure why v2006 would be doing that because I don;t think we made any changes related to style application after the final 2006 release. Hmm.
