    Run time error 401

I am running an experiment with 4 parts on windows vista. I have heard there are some issues of compatibility. Never the less, When I run through to test the program the screen will go blank.

A fellow labbie says that the file is probably too large. But the screen has gone blank on different sections of the experiment.

Then this last time runtime error came up when I did control alt delete to unfreeze my blank screen.

What can I do? I am running this on Fri.

    Thanks
    Chris

"I notice you have a word document timed within the que file and the que file timed within the exp file. Try removing the duration (d) parameter from the parameters in your .exp file so you’re not timing it twice and see if that helps." jarvis quoted from another thread.

I have duration in two parts the one that mightbe a problem is I hold a page for 3 minutes. Should I not do that?

You can run into problems like this if you try to embed events within other timed events. I would certainly try it without that to see if it resolves the issue.

It seems that I must escape of media lab for one part of the experiment and then log into to a second part. Then it works fine.

Why does an experiment have to be in two parts?

One lab has experienced a 156 item limit in Vista
http://www.empirisoft.com/Support/showthread.php?t=1013. The same limit does not occur on XP. We are looking into why this happens but so far it's still a vista mystery (aka, vistery).
