Below is a short photo tour of the DirectIN Keyboard Modifaction process.

If you're not familiar with these keyboards, you can find a full description elsewhere on our site.

We start with a virgin Apple Pro keyboard, shipped to us directly from Apple in California.

Three mounting screws are removed from the back cover, which gives us access to the internal electronics. We gently remove the keyboard assembly, which connects to the main circuit board with 2 delicate cables.

The remaining wires are prepared for insertion in the new circuit board. Finally, our millisecond-accurate DirectIN keyboard engine is installed, secured to the chassis and tested.
