If you use a delay value of 0 for the feedback messages (in Options in the style file), then they will not appear. It applies to the whole session though so the practice trials (with feedback) would require a seperate input file and style file.

So basically, you are saying that I have to create two different files AND change the options in the styles to run the program I want.
Not a good solution, but the best one I have right now.
Is it possible that this issue be addressed in the next version or build?
Somehow dovetailing the feedback to the individual styles and not the general directrt options would be much more useful, and simplify things for the experiment.

I agree. In fact I think many of the items under "options" (and elsewhere) should be tied to particular styles if the user so desires. We are definitely going to try to work this out for a future release. Also a note regarding convenience. If you have MediaLab, it makes it way easier to administer multiple DirectRT input files. You can have multiple input files and you can randomize them (if you like), have practice sessions, and so forth without any intervention from the experimenter. Just a thought in case that helps.
