There are two things I would really, really appreciate you including in future versions of DIRECTRT:
1. An essay response option, just like the ESSAY item in Medialab.
2. A way to keep track of a person's monetary gains and losses across an experiment (and be able to show them how much they currently have on each slide or in each round). This would have to be ok to use with randomization though.
I agree. We are working features like this now for the next version of DirectRT, and I think these things will be possible. I would like DirectRT to have the same custom item capability as MediaLab (i.e., via HTML) and also to have the same kind of advanced features via Excel (e.g., responses.xls) which would allow easy score tracking across trials (among many other things!).
