trying to link .que files? (case 15754)
Hello,
I have 3 separate questionnaire files that I would like to link back to back, so I do not have to start each .que file individually after each subject is done. Is there a way to do this?
They are all different measures and I would like them to be separate for data analysis purposes.
Thanks!
Jessica
thanks!...and new question!
Thanks!
I also have one more question. I would like to randomize the order subjects see photos. For example, I will have one "page" showing a man making a sad face and they will have to choose which expression best fits. They will be shown 20 photos. I would like the order to be completely random for each subject. Would I do put the same number in each RWG space, the same way it would randomize the entire file?
I am just learning how to use directRT...and teaching myself, so I have lots of questions!
Any help would be great.
THanks!
Hi Jessica!
Just place all three .que files in the same .exp file. MediaLab will run the .que files one right after the other in the order they are listed or randomize them depending on the use of the Radomize-W and Randomize-B fields. You can find more information about .que files here: http://www.empirisoft.com/medialab/help/expindex.htm.
can't get the skip to work
If I were you, I'd create a new item like a Fill-in-the-Blank or Essay for the demographic question. I would then put that item's name in the SkipTo field of the Other response option of the preceding item.
Hello,
I can not get this skip to work. Here is what I am trying to do...
Example Question :
Please identify your gender.
1. Male
2. Female
3. Other
When they click "other" ...I want it to skip to the next screen where they can use a "fill in the blank" response.
This does work...but it skips to the "fill in the blank" screen even if you hit male or female. I only put the variable name in the skip to filed for other. Please help! :-)
