Freezing 85-90% of the way through an experiment
Hello,
In the lab I work in we have 7 computers that run media lab. Two of these computers have issues running the experiment the entire way. Participants will get through 85-90% of the experiment and the screen will go blank. The only way to get out of the program is to use the task manager. We also notice that data is not recorded for these participants, not even up until the point when the program crashed. It only happens on the two computers and all seven run on XP. I saw in previous posts that someone had the 2006 version and was experiencing a similar problem. We have the media lab v2008 on XP. We aren't sure why these problems are happening, we didn't have them last year and now we are seeing it happen randomly. There is no way to predict when the problem will arise.
Can you help us figure out what the issue is?
