having trouble with paths to files
Hello,
I'm having a bit of trouble with files to paths. I was hoping that selecting a file by hand would tell me where MediaLab thinks something is located in a relative path kind of way, but it gave me an absolute one.
The set up is as such: I have the exp file in a directory with the que files in a subdirectory, and the images files in a different subdirectory. I have tried both specifying the path names presuming that it determines location based on the original que file (specifying the folder and the rest of the path), and specifying as if it looks from the que subdirectory (adding a ..\ to the previous path). In every case, it fails to find it.
I can't tell if it's having problems with cases, since it always shows the error as if I had specified the entire path with lowercase letters. Does MediaLab care about case?
Does it support ..\ in order to go up a directory? If not, this might be the issue.
Anyway, any ideas?
Thanks!
Suzanne
Ok, I gave up and changed them all to absolute paths
As per the useful tool elsewhere on the forums.
Now it finds some, but not all, of the files.
I can see nothing as far as permissions problems, and can open these files with other programs. There don't appear to be any log files which might give me more information than that it can't open them, either.
Any ideas?
Sz
I see, it doesn't like extra periods in filenames
I didn't see anything saying that in the docs, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.
Sigh!
