License error since upgrade to .33e

My university uses an IP license. I have been having problems with the original version fo MediaLab we were provided, and have uninstalled and tried to install the newer 2008.1.33e version using the same procedure to register the .dll and enter 99999 as the license code.

Medialab will open without complaining and run experiments normally, but when I try to go to Help > About to check version number it says:

Run-time error '-2147319779 8(002801d)':
Automation error
Library not registered


I'm worried that there may be other issues I haven't found yet. Is there some problem with using hte old IP registration procedure with this newer version?
