Timing off in direct rt file (version 2008)

We are having problems with Direct rt after we upgraded our computers.
Same operating system (windows xp) as we had on the other machines.

The problem is that now the timing is off on all our slides that worked
previously before. For example, there is audio to go with a text box
presentation, but the box doesn't show up until after the audio has played.

Any thoughts? We are using wide-aspect monitors, which were different from
the ones we had before.
