Making the data more manageable

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a way to make the data a little more manageable, mainly to group it by predetermined variables so its easier to analyze using SPSS. Attached is an example of one of my data files. I used the merge function to get it to be grouped according to the subject, but now I'm looking to then take that data and set it up according to predetermined variables. I've also attached an example of the merged data and the original input. Any help you guys can offer would be great.
