video files
What do people use to get the best quality video into Medialab experiments?
What file types do you use and are there any preferred media converters? As well, what is the raw file type used to perform editing on?
Thanks

MediaLab is actually a tad quirky when it comes to video files. MediaLab is designed to play media and movie files in the same way that Windows Media Player does; however it sometimes falls a tad short. As a rule of thumb, don't save the file as a .WMV. In the past, many users have run into problems when using .wmv fles.
Also, make sure the video isn't too big in memory or in display size. If the video is too big, you may run into a few problems. As for file-type, I would recommend a well-known installed codec that can output .AVI files. Let me know if you run into any problems.
Hm. You may want to search the forums for more information, video questions have come up quite a bit in the past.
