data misaligned

I'm having a problem with the alignment of my data. MediaLab seems to be writing extraneous information to the file, and this is causing it to shift my data out of alignment. I've had the same problem on multiple computers and with multiple experiments. The problem is usually some close variant of the one I'm having presently: my datafile contains the correct variable names, but it writes the name of the folder twice and also writes "default.mlp", which shifts my data over two spaces. It's easy enough to fix it by just eliminating the extra data, but I'd rather not have to deal with it if there's a fix available. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
