obtaining previous responses while randomizing

My experiment consists of a number of trials appearing in a random order. In each trial, participants have to 1) read a scenario, 2) choose between 4 options (radio buttons) for that scenario, and 3) rate their preference. I need the reaction time for 1), 2) and 3), so I'm presenting them as seperate items.

Thing is, I'd like 1), 2) and 3) to appear on the same screen, and during 3), I want to show the 4 radio button options with the appropriate previously chosen radio button checked. I'm able to do this using responses.xls and javascript, provided I present the trials sequentially (without randomization). => see attached file (which includes the randomization so it doesn't work properly, but you should get the gist)!

Would you know how I can still do this while randomizing the trials? I was initially thinking of a skip pattern, but then I realized I wouldn't be able to indicate which variable to skip to (since the next trial block is supposed to be random).
