The samples run fine. However, if I modify them, or even open and re-save them, and then select and run them--my screen turns black so that it seems to start but it just switches back to the main screen of DirectRT.

If ths happens, DirectRT is probably having trouble reading your .CSV input file. There maybe a missing or extra column, or the values may not be properly delimited with commas.
In some countries, Excel will use semi-colons to separate data instead of commas. Try changing your regional settings in the Windows Control Panel, temporarily, to USA--that might ensure the comma-delimited text format of the CSV files is maintained when you save them. You would only need to do this when editing and saving the .CSV input files. You can always open an input file in a text editor like notepad.exe to see if your system has done this.

This is likely the same issue as above.I was going through the tutorial of direct Rt, but I've noticed that if I save a csv file, it is no longer possible to run the file. Is this due to the fact that I have a try out license number? Or am I doing something wrong here? I have kept the csv format.
