How does the experiment end? Does the participant get to the prompt asking them to tell the experimenter that they are finished?
Yes it asks to tell the experimenter that they are finished...
and another question: Is the order of the random selection of each participant visible in the data file? And if not: How can I make it visible?
Thanks a lot

One more question then--how do they reach the end if the session if it is completed before it ends? And regarding seeing random participant selection data--MediaLab doesn't really do random selection/assignment of subjects except through an autostart file. Is that what you mean? Or something else?
Oh sorry I didn't understand you right. It isn't completed before it ends, but if an experiment gets interrupted (by a computerhanger or whatever) it would be useful, if medialb would save also the data of an unfinished experiment.
I don't mean the random selection of subjects. But the order of the selected items for example if my items are: 1, 2, 3, 4,.For subject1 the random order is 2,3,4,1 and for another subject2 its: 3,2,1,4. Can I see that in my data file or is it ordered like in the beginning subject ID1: 1,2,3,4
subject ID2: 1,2,3,4
MediaLab writes the data after the session finishes (aside from some exceptions like essay data) so if a crash does occur, then you will not get those data.
You can view the actual randomized order of variables--see this link for more info:

Hope that helps.
Oh ok
Thank you very much!
