    RT-dependent stimulus presentation (case 23172)

    Hello,

I want to build a task wherein the RT to one stimulus determines the duration of another, later stimulus. In other words, a subject would respond as fast as possible to the first stimulus with a key press, and the time that response takes would fall into one of two categories: fast or slow. A fast RT would be followed by a longer presentation of the second stimulus, while a slow RT would be followed by a shorter presentation.

How can I use participant RTs to determine the duration of the second stimulus?

    Thank you for your assistance!

    Hi mcastro!

DirectRT currently does not have the capability to use reaction times from one trial as input for determining the presentation of subsequent trials in the same session as which those reaction times are recorded.
