HTML forms with multiple items and with filled-out check and feedback (case 17583)

    Dear forum,

We want to use HTML files inside ML v2012 for presenting several likert scales on one page. We have been able to program these HTML files and run them in ML. So this is not the problem.

The problem though is that participants can't just skip the whole form without answering any of the items. They have to respond to at least one item to be able to continue. On the other hand we inform participants in the beginning of our experiment that they are not forced to answer our questions. So participants should be able to leave an entire html form unanswered (which is not possible as I explained).

The second problem is related to this: We would like to inform participants if they forgot (or refused) to answer one or more questions: "You didn't respond to one or more of our questions - do you want to continue nevertheless?" or something like that.

I found out that this should be possible with javascript, but I never used javascript and I don't know how to implement this function.

Maybe someone has a solution to this...

    Thanks in advance!
    Benjamin

It would be great if I could see a representative example of your html code for the Likert scales. It would be helpful to see exactly how and what data you are recording in these html files. It would also be good to see the .que file that you are using to run this html file.

You could either upload the files here or send them directly to me at support@empirisoft.com. If you send them to me directly, please reference case 17583 in the email.
