Recurring errors in Track Performance (case 15090)

I am getting similar errors to the OP in this thread.

These are the errors in specific:
Elapsed Time: 69602ms, block 1, trial 43, stim 4, Error 53, File not found or incompatible stimulus format (e.g., images must be 8-24bit color .bmp) , on line 330, during CreateSurfaces of Form DDFullScreen
Elapsed Time: 69603ms, block 1, trial 43, stim 4, Error 5, Invalid procedure call or argument--may be a problem loading a stimulus due to its format, on line 590, during CreateSurfaces of Form DDFullScreen
Elapsed Time: 114822ms, block 1, trial 40, stim 4, Error 53, File not found or incompatible stimulus format (e.g., images must be 8-24bit color .bmp) , on line 330, during CreateSurfaces of Form DDFullScreen
Elapsed Time: 114823ms, block 1, trial 40, stim 4, Error 5, Invalid procedure call or argument--may be a problem loading a stimulus due to its format, on line 590, during CreateSurfaces of Form DDFullScreen
    Subject 1, 6/27/2014, 3:09:10 PM, Finished. 4 Errors/Warnings.

There are really 2 errors which are affecting 2 separate trials, which are seemingly random each time I run the experiment. The errors temporarily disrupt the experiment when going through MediaLab & cause the two trials to not be recorded.

All the .txt files that the .csv files call up are in the same folder, and for the most part this has not been an issue in the past. Also, this specific problem seems to be localized to nonwords.txt - or, at least, I've not had this same issue with trials using eating or neutral words. In addition, only words are being used, no images.

Here are what I think are the relevant files, please let me know if you need more to be able to diagnose this problem.

Do you have the neutral.txt and the nonwords.txt stimfiles, as well as any other stimfiles or stimuli, in a folder named Stim? If so, is the Stim folder in the same file folder as the rest of your DirectRT files?

I do not have these files in a stim folder, all the files are in one folder.

Try putting the stimfiles in a folder named Stim with the rest of your DirectRT files and see what happens. It should be fine to also have any MediaLab files mixed with them, but the errors may be due to DirectRT looking for the stimulus materials in a folder named Stim but not finding it.

Alright, I went into the lab and tried that out, but it didn't seem to change anything. I'm still getting the same problem.

Could you please send a copy of the styles.drt file that is associated with your DirectRT files you attached from your earlier post?

Well, it's been a week and I've tried tinkering with some stuff (e.g. removing nonwords.txt and replacing it with a different nonwords.txt) but that didn't make any difference.

Has any progress been made on figuring out what the problem is on your end? If there is no solution, is there some way I can get around this?

Sorry for the delay. It looks like the error messages were tied to weird formatting of your nonwords stimlist. Although it looks like all of the stimlui are properly defined when that stimlist is opened in a program like Notepad, there were spaces without ~ between the last three words in the list when I opened it in Microsoft Word. I fixed the formatting in the attached stimlist and ran it without any errors in the TrackPerformance file. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you.
