    power point problem

I am creating an experiment that involves using a power point show as part of each experimental condition. When I include the .pps file either in a questionnaire or in a condition of an experiment, the power point show runs fine but then the program hangs up and stops responding. I followed the instructions in your user manual on incorporating .pps files in an experiment, so I don't know what is going wrong. Any ideas?

Make sure powerpoint is closed before you start your session. If it still happens after that, please let me know what versions of Windows and PowerPoint you are using.

    power point problems

Thanks for the tip. I got it to work after I rebooted my computer (and did not reopen Power Point). Originally, I did have Power Point open when I tried to run the file in the MediLab experiment.

Yeah, that's been an annoyance since the very first version. MediaLab used to give a message saying PP had to be closed, but somewhere along the way it decided not to do that anymore. I'll check it out and see if I can find out why. Anyways, glad to hear all is ok now.
