Attached Scale Response Question Not Allowing Subjects to Select Response (case 6472)

The attached math question that is set up as a scale response has five possible answers. However, when the participant clicks on any of them, this message pops up "try again". Do you know you why it is not possible to select an answer and move on?

For this math problem, it is okay if the participant gets the answer wrong, so it is meant to be set up so the person can click on any of the five answers to proceed. Also, I placed this questionnaire within an experiment file and it still did not work.

Thank you in advance for any advice,

    Joanna

    Hi Joanna!

The problem is that the item in the file you uploaded is named none. Because all of the skipto values are also none, any answer choice will make the item try to skip back to itself. To solve it, all you need to do is name the item anything besides none. I called it question1 and got it to work just fine.

    Cheers!
