    Image Resolution (case 5429)

    Hi,

When I try to run my directRT I am running on different resolution monitors, how can I change the resolution within directRT itself?

    Thanks!

To change the screen resolution, follow these steps.
    1. Open the Style file. In the DirectRT main program window, select Edit and choose Edit Default Styles.
    2. Choose Options in the Style Editor window.
    3. Select the appropriate screen resolution from the Screen Size dropdown.
    4. Click OK.
    5. Click Save.
    6. Click Exit.
    Hope this helps!

include the a style file in your experiment folder

adding to psychboiler's response, an alternative to changing the default style file on each computer that you run the experiment on, you can copy the default "style.drt" from the direct rt installation directory, paste it into your experiment's folder, designate the resolution that you want DirectRT to use, and save your changes to the resolution settings.

This way, you force DirectRT to use the exact same style settings on each computer that you run the experiment on, and you do not allow DirectRT to call up the default style file (which could vary across computers, depending on you or someone else changing settings)
