Reponse window/show the stimulus again contingent upon reaction time

I am wondering if the following procedure is possible with DirectRT.... I would like to show a word with a response window (1000ms), and show that word again and measure a reaction time later in the same experimental session if a participant doesn't respond within that time frame. Words are shown randomly. I couldn't find a way to do this in the instructions. I thought it may be possible if there is a means to mark a word as not shown yet depending on the reaction time, so that the word remains in the list that will be shown randomly, but that doesn't seem to be feasible.... We are using DirectRT 2008. I will appreciate any information or suggestion!

Dear Masako--no, so far there is no way to create trial re-presentation contingencies as a function of a criterion response time. This actually *was* in the plan for version 2010 (now out) but the conversion to Windows Vista and Windows 7 compatibility ended up using most of our programming resources. What you've described is a great idea and we will be pursuing this for the next version (something akin to a "live" Excel file during the session via the Advanced Features used by MediaLab).
