crank up the resolution of .gif in directRT?

    Heey,

My group mates and I tried to get a time measure for the detection of a minor change in a picture (loop of 300ms picture and edited picture with 50ms blank screens in between). We created .gif files to put this into directRT, but now it seems that the resolution that directRT gives is insufficient for our cause. Any clue on how we could solve this? Somehow cranking the quality of these .gif files up in directRT? Or even any other way to show these images (which we totally can make direct RT do the way we want) but simultaneously measure the time from the first showing of the stimulus picture to a response?

Eternal gratitude to anyone with a working answer!
    Xx, Tina

Not sure I totally understand. I get the looping .gif RT--no problem. I'm missing it though on the resolution issue. Is it that the gif looks good normally, but when you run it through DirectRT, it doesn't look as good? e.g., it gets smaller, bigger, distorted or some such? If so (and again I'm just guessing), are you running the session in the same screen resolution in which you normally view the gif? i.e., as defined in the styles (.drt) file? If that's not what you mean, please feel free to elaborate or even attach an input file and sample gif.
