    making an instructions custom item (case 403)

    I am trying to make an instruction-type custom item where participants do not enter any data, but can click a button which would then lead them to the next item/task. The reason I am using a custom item instead of simply instructions is that I want the button to say something specific. I saw in a previous post someone suggested using

    <INPUT TYPE="submit" name="varname" VALUE="continue"/>

    but this is not working for me - the screen stays on the initial page even when I click the button.
    Any suggestions?
