    Moving Licenses between computers

    [Edited from support email]

We purchased several licenses of MediaLab and DirectRT a few months ago and have been happily using them on several computers in our lab. However, our IT department replaced those computers with new ones and we need to get our software running again. What should we do? Do we need to pay for new licenses?

Moving licenses between computers is never a problem.

Just uninstall the software from the original computer, then using the new machine, visit the download section of our website and grab what you need. If you haven't purchased a license for v2006 yet, you can find older copies of the software at www.empirisoft.com/download_old.apsx.

After you finish the installation process, you'll need to send us a new activation code which appears on your computer screen.

These codes are unique to each machine, so you can't just re-use the ones you have presently.

When you write to us, please include the name of the person who made the original purchase if you know it.

    That's it!

Let us know if you get stuck.
