Just to be clear--you want the two stimuli presented such that they are on both monitors at the same time (essentially replicating the display on both--e.g., | AB | AB |) or each of the two would be on different monitors such that you are using one monitor to extend the screen space of the other (e.g., | A | B |)?
One computer will be connected to two monitors. I would like DirectRT to send one stimulus to one monitor and another stimulus to the 2nd monitor.
DirectRT v2008 does not have the capability to display different content to different monitors at the same time. However, I believe v2010 does. I happened to notice (from another post) that you wanted to try the beta to test the new reverse skipping functionality (www.empirisoft.com/support/showthread.php?t=4307). If the dual monitor capability is also currently active in the beta, this would be a nice coincidence!
The 2010 version of the software could allow for this functionality; however I would need to first try and setup a few tests to make sure the timing resolution and results of a multi-monitor experiment will work as efficiently as a single-monitor experiment would.
I'll look into both requests and see what we can do.
Would you be ok with waiting until Friday to receive a copy of the 2010 beta Anne? Once I get the beta to you I should be able to include instructions to help you get started with an experiment that uses both the ability to skip anywhere within the experiment and run on multiple monitors.
Okay - til Friday then! If these will work, that would be fantastic! Cheers!
