How accurate are the RTs measured by DirectRT?

    [edited from support email]
I used DirectRT for a recent experiment because I was interested in RTs. However, I could not find the error rate of DirectRT. Can you tell me the accuracy of the response times?

The error is typically under 1ms plus any error attributable to your input device (keyboard, buttonbox, mouse, joystick, etc.) External devices vary in the frequency and speed at which they make their current state available to the system. Precision hardware typically does this every millisecond or so (e.g., see our DirectIN keyboards and button boxes). In contrast, standard keyboards will typically provide an update every 5-25ms.
